The objective of this course is to learn how to localize web content from Japanese into French. The contents are very diversified and aim at preparing the students for the diversity of the web supports they will be confronted with (journalistic articles, blog...). Particular emphasis is placed on raising awareness of the difficulties of translating Japanese syntactic structures. The regular correction of translations is accompanied by more general advice on translation methodology, in order to professionalize the students. The translation exercises are to be done independently, and students benefit from personalized distance support via the Moodle platform.
