Description du contenu de l'enseignement
Partie 1 : Panorama des méthodes d’analyse des données multivariées utilisées en marketing quantitatif. Thèmes étudiés : Expérimentation et Analyse de variance (ANOVA), Analyse factorielle exploratoire, Analyse typologique,Multidimensional Scaling (MDS), analyse conjointe...
Partie 2 : The course will introduce students to the simulation of (income) taxation and social benefits. Such microsimulation models are widely used tools both in academic research and in policy consulting. We will develop a simple microsimulation model ourselves, with a focus on France and Germany. When linked with an appropriate dataset, the model can be used to simulate the budget and distributional effects of policy reform proposals. We will also discuss how discrete-choice models can be used to assess how labour supply might react to these reforms.

Partie 1 : A l'issue des enseignements de cette UE, les étudiants seront capables de s’adapter au contexte marketing et d’envisager différentes méthodes d’analyse des données multivariées.

- Understand how computer models are used to simulate the effects of tax policies on the government budget, the distribution of income, and the level of employment
- Develop and estimate a simple model by themselves.
- Learn programming techniques and tools that are useful in empirical economics more generally
