Description du contenu de l'enseignement

In this course the student should lean how to find, install and use free software in Fluid Mechanics, grid generation and visualization:

Finding the appropriate free software;
Free software installation and utilization;
CFD free software : OpenFOAM, TRIO3D, Gerris ..
Free mesh generator : OpenMesh, COG, CUBIT, Geompack...
Free Visualization tool : OpenDX, Paraview, xmgrace, MayaVi, Visit...
Finite element libraries : FreeFem, Getfem++, Fenics, Feel++ ....

Compétences à acquérir

To be able to find, install and use a free software for Fluid Mechanics, grid generation or visualization.
