Description du contenu de l'enseignement

Basics in major receptors and molecular pathways involved in cardiovascular, immunological and neurological systems.
Lectures will describe the different families of receptors, channels and transporters, their downstream respective effectors and mediators. Pathological consequences of defective signaling will be presented and well-known pharmacological modulators of the signaling pathways related to the above pathophysiological situations will be described. Tutorials will include initiation to new pharmacological concepts such as biased ligands or receptors that will be presented by students. Pedagogical training will take advantage of the moodle platform to favor integrated knowledge of the main signaling pathways.

Compétences à acquérir

Knowledge of the major types of receptors, channels and transporters including receptors coupled to G proteins, receptors with enzymatic activities, transcription factors, and ion channels, their mode of action, molecular partners, and targets constituting a characteristic signaling pathway and its regulation. Main pharmacological modulators.
